Go Wedges With A Vengeance!

Women have had a weakness for shoes since… probably when they were invented. Women cannot resist a beautiful pair of shoes. In fact, as some shoe fashions prove, most women would not even consider comfort if the shoe in question appealed to the diva inside them! And nothing appeals to a woman more than heels! A short woman wants heels to look tall and sexy… a tall woman wants heels to stand above the crowd. Everyone loves heels, even if they are not comfortable.

There are different types of heels, each one a different look. The one that all women love, but most cannot wear, are stilettos. These thin tall heels look sleek and sexy, but require a lot of practice to wear or one runs the risk of losing their balance and hurting their ankle… not to mention their pride. Block heels are another type, which, as the name suggests, are big, blocky, chunky heels. These are easier to balance but, again, as the length of the heel grows, the more precarious the walking becomes. Then there are platform heels that have a sole that is almost as high as the heel, so the foot remains almost flat like in a flat sandal, but the height is increased. These shoes reached ridiculous proportions when the fashion in the 70’s became 12 inch high platforms.

The wedge is a type of heel where the sole of the shoe is a wedge shaped block that is high at the heel and tapers to a point at the toes. This is one of the more comfortable types of heel, since there is not much ‘balancing’ required when walking with these. Wedges are usually summer shoes since they are generally light cork soled and strappy. And this summer, they are a rage!

Strappy wedges are great for any occasion. They give you the air of casual chic and they are very comfortable to wear too. You can get them in a wide variety of designs to suit any occasion. Thin straps in citrus colors look great with casuals for college. Strappies in floral prints make for a great look for a day out with friends.

You can buy them in skin tones and wear them with pretty much everything! A chic design in black is also a good option for footwear that can be worn for almost any formal occasion. A funky design, even if worn with a simple ensemble, will make you stand out from the crowd.

Wedges can be in a roman strappy sandal style. You can get them in black patent leather and silver studs, to complete a dark, gothic look. Thin straps will give you a dainty, feminine look, while broader straps will make you look smart. You can opt for metallic colors or shimmer to look dressy or go for a mute, matte look.

The options you have in strappy wedges are as varied as your moods, and you can be sure of finding one that suits you this season!

Coach shoes for every Outfit

When going shopping one of the most crucial things that a woman would not forget is to buy her pair of shoes just like coach shoes. Unlike dresses which can be worn in an alternate period of time, shoes on the other hand can be mixed and match with whatever outfit there is available.

Clothes are great, but shoes are a passion. You always come back to shoes, whether shopping online or strolling a shopping center for bargains. On payday, you may scrimp and save to make ends meet, but you are always willing to make sacrifices for shoes. You crave variety in style and color, a selection of heels and platforms. You like to experiment to find your unique style, not just follow the current trends. You understand that different shoes inspire a different attitude, and all shoes are not created equal for work or for the weekend, for a casual dinner or for an elegant affair.

When it comes to a passion for fashion, a love of style and trend, and a particular love for beautiful and artistic footwear, Carrie Bradshaw is hardly on her own. If you also most love to express your individual style below the ankle, then you can count yourself amongst the true shoe enthusiasts. You can take constant delight in indulging your fetish.

If you are looking for the shoes, whether it be a pair of strappy, sexy sandals for a summer date or casual, comfortable flats for girls’ night out, Coach is there for all your foot fashion needs. Coach has been helping women with any shoe-related emergency since they were established in 1941. You will find wedges, sandals, sneakers, heels or pumps, and flats or loafers at the Coach Company. If your plans for the weekend are to go for a hike or run a marathon, or spend the weekend at a business convention, you will find what you need at Coach.

You can have a number of outstanding choices for sandals that would surely make you purr and smile. The best of them include the Gynger sandal, the Glenna, Rikki, Sherrie, Lalo and Sari. Wedges style sandals are exemplified by the Gynger and Glenna and of course they are in good company. Just the same, you can also always love other popular wedge style sandals like the Twirling, Gwynnie and Gracyn.

If you need a bit more height, then look to a pair of pumps that suits you. Lalo is one of the types of heels sold by Coach as is the Dawnn sandal. These pumps look as good when paired with a dress or skirt as they do with a pair of summer slacks. If you enjoy life in flats or loafers, then you are shopping at the right online spot. Coach sells patterned flats and ones that come in one color only. Two options in flats include the Eve loafers and Larra.

If you prefer casual comfort and the laid back style of sneakers, then the perfect selection awaits you. You can find all kinds of sneakers at Coach, with either a high or low top, to match your own personal style. The Beale sneaker is perfect for those who prefer a slip on shoe, rather than a sneaker with laces. For those on the go, the Bonney striped denim sneaker is a popular high topped style that really gets you moving.

Head to Toe: Care for your Shoes!

Women have always been conscious with how they look from head to toe-literally! From the hairdo to the dress and down to the most crucial part, which are the shoes! Shoes which are cared for properly stick around for along time.

Money spent on bright colored shoes is safely invested in bright sandals and fun shoes. Think investment. Fashion shoes, if properly cared for, last a nice long time.

Sandals, evening shoes and fun shoes can all be chosen for their immediate use. Think trendy and unique when looking for a pair of shoes.

Evening shoe tips

Even if your dress is down to the floor, don’t think you can get away with just any old shoe when wearing a gorgeous gown. Those old black pumps just won’t do. Even if you do not get out much, a great pair of fashion shoes for evening are a necessary investment.

Putting on a great pair of fashion shoes is enough to signal the shift that is necessary when going out for the evening. Attitude is everything and evening fashion shoes can take you there.

*Low cut shoes and open strappy styles are more slimming than closed toed shoes. One of the best evening looks is a sling back style or any shoe with a angled strap.

*Flats or a low heel can give an evening trousers or suit, kicked back chic. Tall women can also wear flats with full, ankle length ballerina style skirts.

*Elegant closed style shoes can be cut in a dressy fabric for an evening impact. Patent leather, silk, satin or beaded fabrics look better than matte leather in an evening fashion shoe.

*Evening shoes don’t have to be black, in fact, silver or gold is just as classic. Go ahead and make your outfit really pop with a shiny boldly colored shoe.

Sandals

Sandals are another form of fashion shoe that can be chosen for the fun of it all. Shoes do not have to be all serious. Update your summer wardrobe simply be changing up your shoes. Neutral outfits look brand new when pairing them with bright sandals.

* If only neutral will do for you, a beige, khaki or nude sandal can be made more exciting by choosing neutral reptile. Fake snake and mock croc make a nice fashion shoe.

*White is not a neutral color in shoes. A bright white sandal is a fashion shoe statement.

Fun Shoes

Fun shoes like ballet flats, or wedges are nice options when getting ready for the day.

*Ballet Flats are great with cropped slim trousers and miniskirts.

*Wedges make chunky calves look slim, they even make the foot itself look smaller.

*Roman sandals and leather thongs with their free spirit look, go well with loose looks like caftans, summer linens and tunic dresses.

Comfort Tip

There most likely isn’t a woman alive who hasn’t suffered for beautiful shoes. Even if the fashion shoe you are considering purchasing is only for a special occasion, there are ways around pain.

*Getting the right size is most important. Feet actually grow as you age. Just because you were an 8 when you were twenty, does not mean you will still wear that size at forty.

Not all shoes look well on any kind of outfit. There is a trick for everything. Women have to match their shoes to their outfits to be able to get that WOW look from their friends or loved ones. Follow guides on which shoe to wear with what outfit.

Stilettos- The ultimate sexy shoes that never go out of style. Stilettos go great with sleek clothes, pencil skirts or slim trousers. For a polished look, wear sleek strappy stilettos with a classic tailored pantsuit.

Platforms go great with cuffed shorts, and miniature bubble skirts. Try a slim-heel-platform with a suit or a soft silhouette evening dress for a touch of elegance.

Kitten heels- These heels are timeless and go with just about everything. Kitten heels work with both office attire and evening attire. They are the practical alternative to high-heels. TEENS: Black pumps or strappy wedges with THIS dress?

♥Daisy♥ asked:

I have a dress that is similar to this, except the top part is purple and the bottom half is solid black. It comes to a few inches above my knee.

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3062477/0~2378467~2378483~2377032~6008191?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6008191&P=2

Now, for SCHOOL, should I wear black stiletto pumps? They’re classic pumps and the heel is between 3.5-4 inches. I can walk in them, I’ve worn them to school before.

The other pair are wedges, the heel looks like cork, they are sling backs, the heel is about 3.5 inches. The top part of the shoe is black and open (you can see all of my foot) but it’s strappy and patterned. (if that makes any sense, sorry but I can’t find a picture)

Anyways, both shoes are super adorable, but which ones should I wear? Which would be more school appropriate? The stilettos? or the strappy wedges?

Rib and Foot Tattoos – Hot and Sexy Tattoo Locations For Women

Peter Brat asked:

The rib and foot area are the two most painful parts of the body to get tattooed yet they are still the top picks of women nowadays when it comes to tattoo locations. They seem to be the new replacement for lower back tattoos especially because of the fact that that area has been labeled as a “tramp stamp”.

Megan Star is the most popular sexy celebrity to have tattoos on the rib. She has a textual theme with with the phrase “there was once a girl who never knew love until a boy broke her heart” written down on her rib cage. A lot of women seem to be following her lead as phrases, verses and quotations inked on the ribs seem to be becoming the new trend nowadays. Since the rib cage is a big canvas to work on, there is ample space enough to accommodate larger tattoo theme like these. Other popular designs for rib tattoos for girls and women are flowers such as cherry blossom, lotus and lilies.

Foot tattoos was once an unpopular choice when it comes to tattoo locations because of the risks involved. For one, there are a lot of nerve endings on these area and there are less tissues to cushion the skin during the tattooing process. Nowadays, this does not seem to matter anymore as a lot of professional tattoo artists are able to adjust to this conditions considering the high demand for this type of tat theme. Women love wearing sexy footwear such as stilettos and sandals and what better way to accentuate this by sporting a decorated foot with designs such as flowers, butterflies, stars and zodiac symbols.

High-Heeled Platform Shoes Causes Back-Pain

Lydia Ismail asked:

Stylish women love high-heeled shoes but they are actually a nightmare to walk in.

These shoes can go as high as 15 cm (6 inches) and the front end can be about 2 inches high. Because they are many times heavier than normal shoes, they pose extra burden to the legs and cause unsteady footing and balance.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell once lost her balance in 8-inch platforms and tumbled on the runway. So much for making a fashion statement in platforms!

Victoria Beckham was reported (June 2007) to paying the price for constantly wearing stiletto shoes. She candidly confessed that her feet were giving her a headache. “I always wear stilettos but they have given me awful feet,” she said.

There you have it – wearing stilettos or high-heeled shoes for long periods of time can result in foot and ankle problems that include bunions, heel pain, and painful trapped nerves. Cramming toes into narrow pointed-toe shoes can cause corns, calluses and toe deformities.

Even small missteps in high heels can have disastrous results, and women are most likely to suffer a sprained ankle while walking in high heels.

Frequent wearing of high heels can also damage the Achilles tendon over time. Not surprisingly, women make up about 75% of the 2 million Americans suffering heel pain. A study by the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) indicates that this can be traced to a shortening of the Achilles tendon in high-heel wearers.

In fact, permanent shortening of calf muscles and the Achilles tendon is the first problem that women who wear heels for a long period of time (6 months to a year) face. This creates discomfort when the muscles are stretched in flat shoes. That is why frequent high-heel wearers often find flat shoes uncomfortable.

From Europe to Asia, it is reported that high-heeled shoes have left many older women with a legacy of foot problems. Among them is a condition called hallux valgus, in which the joint between the foot and the big toe becomes deformed, leads to pain, walking difficulties and ultimately surgical correction for some.

High heels have also been proven to create back problems. For our body to balance, our center of mass must be located over a stable base. High heels throw the center of mass forward, putting more pressure on the ball of the foot and on already cramped toes.

Well-known Singaporean model Hanis Hussey once revealed that she wore high heels for 10 years before her back gave out.

“I had an x-ray done and it showed a weak lower back. The doctor asked me if I was in the habit of wearing very high heels,” she was quoted as saying in The Straits Times (Singapore).

Will a short blue party dress look crazy w/ black tights & blue strappy pumps?

Vicki asked:

I have this really cute bright (almost like an electric/royal) blue with black embellishment on the empire waist. I’ve been debating whether to wear black patent leather pumps or black tights with these CUTE Steve Madden pumps I found that just happen to be the exact same blue. I have absolutely zero fashion sense (someone else picked out the dress!) so I don’t know…
Thanks so much to all of you!! I definitely think I’ll go w/ the tights and blue shoes!!!

Most Common Fashion Mistakes Part I

Morphy Dumdum asked:

1. The Color Issue

A. Wearing the wrong colors

All skin tones among us are not created equal. To look your best, choose wardrobe colors that complement your skin. Wearing the wrong colors will make your skin appear sallow and lines and wrinkles will be more evident. The lime green or hot pink that you saw on the runways may look fabulous on the models, but horrible on you. Experiment with different colors and stick with the palettes that look best on you. Don’t waste your money on clothes that make you look pale, sallow, jaundiced, or washed out.

B. Wearing red and green at the same time.

Honestly, you will look like a Christmas tree. Red and green are two of the colors that you absolutely must avoid wearing together. These colors completely clash, so just stay clear. Also, it’s best to stay away from green and red makeup. If you decide to go for a green eyeshadow, don’t put on a bright red lipstick. Instead, opt for a clear gloss or a nude color.

C. Wearing too many Colors.

A common fashion mistake is using too many colors. As a general rule wear up to three colors only, for a easy on the eye coordinated look.

2. The Shoes

A. Dirty shoes.

It would be bad enough if you had shoes that were out of style, or didn’t match with your outfit, but if you have dirty shoes, you’re making a big fashion faux pas. Make sure to keep your shoes in style, according to your outfit, and most importantly, clean!

B. Bulky shoes with feminine dress.

A floral, feminine dress should never be paired with bulky shoes such as thick platforms. This kind of dress deserves a pair of soft, delicate shoes. Anything with a small heel, and even wedges and espadrilles.

C. Messy Shoes

Take care of your shoes, for they complete your look. Also ensure that your shoes complement your outfit.

D. Rundown shoes

You look great…from the ankles up. If your shoes have seen better days, find a good shoe repair shop and put them in for some TLC. Polish them regularly. Use a felt tip marker on scuffs, and put a piece of soft carpet under your feet when you drive. And most importantly, invest in a good pair if you’re going to wear them every day. Don’t buy them at the Five and Dime and then wonder why they don’t last.

E. Clothing & Shoes Should Match.

Keep your clothing and shoes in the same color unless using black which goes with anything. Don’t ever make the mistake of mismatching light and dark colors i.e. dark clothes and light shoes and vice versa.

3. Make-Up

A. Too much makeup

Too much makeup creates a harsh look and makes lines appear deeper. Keep your daytime makeup light and evening makeup a little darker. If you are unsure of makeup application techniques, see a professional. Many popular cosmetic counters at your local department store will provide a free makeup session.

B. Inappropriate makeup

Light for day, heavier for evening, sheer for sports or other strenuous pursuits. You wear different clothes for different activities in you life; your makeup should change as well. And if you’re still doing Cleopatra eyes, it’s time to turn the page and see what’s happening THIS century in makeup styles.

These fashion mistakes tend to come from people not accepting their body type and wearing the latest fashion because its popular. To look your best, always be true to yourself and you will present a stylish confident look that will create the right impression for all occasions.

So here sums up the Part I of my Most Common Fashion Mistakes. Better Watch out for more of this later on my posts.

Strappy Wedding Sandals

Laura Firenze asked:

Strappy sandals are one of the most stylish and sexy accessories that a bride can choose for her wedding. Unlike a traditional white pump, they are young and sassy. Best of all, a great pair of strappy sandals is something that you can even wear again after the wedding.

Young women love strappy sandals. When I managed a bridal shop, one of the biggest arguments that almost every bride had with her mother was over pantyhose. All of the moms believed that stockings were an absolute must on a formal occasion, but the brides all wanted to wear sandals. And as we all know, you should never, ever wear stockings with an open toe shoe. I say this even though my own mother, a staunch pantyhose supporter, does it on a regular basis! Oh well – I guess it’s just a generational thing.

Within the general category of the strappy sandal, you will find infinite variations, which means that there is a perfect style out there for every bride. When you are looking for a sandal for your wedding, one of the first things you should check out is the shape of the toe bed. Some are rounded, some are square, and others come to more of a point. You want to choose a shoe that fits the shape of your foot. Otherwise, you end up with your pinky toe falling off the front of the shoe (square foot on pointy footbed) or a huge amount of shoe showing past your toes (pointy foot on a square toe bed).

There are many choices of strap configuration, as well. If you have a slim foot, a skinny strap that goes across the toes looks very elegant. If your foot is wider, this can end up making your toes look pinched. A diagonal strap is often very flattering on many types of feet. Some of the prettiest ones are accented with beads or crystals sewn to the straps. Look for details on your shoes that coordinate with your other accessories, like your headpiece and wedding jewelry.

The closure of the sandals is another key part of the design. Some shoes are simply backless, as in a simple silk thong sandal. Ankle straps can offer a nice secure feeling on a strappy shoe. If they don’t slip on your heel, the slingback is one of the most flattering designs. It elongates the look of your legs. The claps on wedding shoes are often highly decorative. Crystal buckles are especially popular, as they work so well with the Swarovski jewelry that so many brides wear for their wedding.

Comfort is key in any pair of wedding shoes, because you will be in them for such a long time. Look for a pair that has a well padded footbed. The higher the heel, the more cushioning you will need under the ball of your foot, as that bears all of your weight. Be wary of shoes with straps that chafe or bind. As you stand on your feet for the ceremony and then dance on them all night, they will tend to swell a little, so definitely avoid any shoe that feel snug in the store.

One thing that is really great about wearing strappy sandals for your wedding is that they are so little shoe that you can be very free in your choice. In other words, if you want to wear a light blue sandal for your something blue, feel free to do so. It will be a nice accent, without being too bold a statement. Other popular choices include silver and pink sandals. A white strappy sandal is also a style that you will have ample opportunity to wear with your summer dresses, so it is okay to splurge and get the shoes that you really love.

There is no doubt that a strappy sandal will add a great finishing touch to your wedding gown. Women just feel great in a cute strappy shoe, which makes them perfect for the day when you really want to feel your most fabulous. Just remember to get a fantastic pedicure!
